My new solo record is now available. It's called "Pilot Bliss' and I'm very proud of it. It's very different from the kind of music I make with Venus Hum, but give it a listen. I think careful attention will be rewarding, but you can also just put it on in the background while you're doing other things. Most of the tracks are built from a single sound source (acoustic guitar, vibraphone, or a simple sine wave for example), but each source is examined in extreme close up. The sounds are stretched or shrunk, crystalized or smeared. There are no grooves but sometimes a melody or harmony is hinted at. I hope you like it.

]]>I've seen it!http://www.venushum.com/blog/2010/3/30/ive-seen-it.html[Your Name Here]2010-03-30T13:59:10Z2010-03-30T13:59:10ZI've seen the DVD and I'm pleased!  It can make you weird to watch yourself for that long, but other than that I liked it!  I really hope you all get a chance to watch it and that you like it.  I hope it is the first of many.  There is so much that changes every time you do a show.  This is like taking a snapshot and capturing one of those times.  This is an intimate show that really showcases what Tony and Kip do and that alone is great to be able to see.  I'm there too, focusing hard and singing out.  I was so nervous that I was going to forget words and that it would be captured on celluloid forever! Ha!  It's good to get nervous sometimes I suppose.  I was nervous just watching the dvd last night!  The director and the crew did an amazing job.  Yay completion!  Now onto the next...
